Mister Versatile, Rap Doctor, “Faithful” singer and sexy performer Okyeame Kwame who gets the ladies screaming and jumping in the aisles is not romantic. This revelation is coming from someone who must know, his wife of four years, Annica.

“He is a very interesting, hardworking and creative man but he is not romantic“, Annica told Showbiz. “Okyeame Kwame is a straight forward person who believes in action instead of long winding witty talk and doesn’t like anything kitchen business” she said.

Yet this is the “adorable” husband with whom Mrs. Annica Nsiah-Apau does not only share a son and daughter but also directs him in his business affairs. Indeed Mrs. Annica Nsiah-Apau works full time for her husband as his Business and Brand Development Manager.

According to her, her job is to make sure that Okyeame doesn’t hang around waiting for event organisers before he gets busy. She scouts and make appearance choices, “dream dreams and execute those dreams to become a business reality.

“Every move you see him make has my input and I contribute to ensure that his name keeps flying on people’s minds. My husband is an extremely pleasant gentleman so doing business with, and for him, is made easy. I represent a cool dude whose good opens doors”, she said.

Speaking with Showbiz last week, Annica recounted how she had to divert from her law studies dreams to business administration to help her husband. “After the release of his Bohye Ba album, Okyeame and I noticed that there was more we could do to give his career a boost. So we came up with a plan to acquire more knowledge in the field we had chosen to be able to do more”.

She enrolled at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to pursue a Masters degree in Business Administration majoring in marketing.

Responding to a question about how she handles the ladies hovering around the brand she has created, she said, “I develop his brand for people to like it. Women naturally are likely to appreciate things better than men.

“You know, rap is a male dominated music type, so I work at achieving the opposite. Therefore, when women appreciate my husband, my job is done. I pat myself on the back and move on to the next money-making venture. It is needless to add that my husband knows where and when to draw the line”.

Making a small comment on how her marriage to Okyeame has been so smooth, she said “we do not entertain third parties in our relationship, I do not do friends and he does not do ‘boys boys’. We have mutual friends who are focused and share our values. And that to us is key”.

Mrs. Annica Nsiah-Apau was born in Akosombo, had her basic and junior education at Akosombo International School and Akosombo then to Osei Kyeretwie Secondary School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to obtain her first degree in law before doing her masters in Business Administration in the same university.

She worked with Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd and Unilever Ghana Ltd. before turning full time to her husband’s business.
