Singer, keyboardist and songwriter, Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah last week strengthened his artistic links with Becca when he featured the Afro-Pop star on his latest single titled Nsroma (Star).
Akwaboah is Becca’s regular keyboardist and he wrote the popular Daa Ke Daa track for her.
The young and talented Akwaboah is entrenching himself as a writer of beautiful love songs and Nsroma is one more example. His two previous singles are I Do Love You and Mesan Agye Wo .
The two musicians have been working together since 2007. They have obviously grown to appreciate each other’s strengths and musical preferences, thus creating a viable working relationship reminiscent of the type represented by the late Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson.
“Akwaboah is gradually building a very strong fan base for himself due to his charming singing and songwriting abilities as well as the maturity he exhibits in his music,” says a member of Akwaboah’s management team, DJ Flexy.
He has been nominated for Songwriter of the Year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for the Best in Me song he wrote for Efya. Videos for I Do Love You and and Mesan Agye Wo are being shot and would be available soon on our television networks.
Akwaboah, winner of the Songwriter of the Year trophy at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards, hopes to be on some selected tertiary campuses in the Ashanti Region, including the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Kumasi Polytechnic, soon to share copies of Nsroma to his fans.
The song is also available for downloading at various websites.
